The coming-of-age chapter of the franchise: two sisters raised behind walls in a post-apocalypse generation leave safety for a cross-country journey, and the story expands the mythology toward the Civic Republic, the helicopter network, and the seeds of the larger universe the films were meant to explore.

The honest take: it is the weakest of the spinoffs, aimed younger, with dialogue that leans on narration. But it is short (two seasons, 20 episodes), it commits to finishing its story, and it carries genuine franchise plot weight: the Rick Grimes movie thread runs directly through its final season. Franchise devotees got real payoff here.

Watch it for the mythology, enjoy the sisters’ arc for what it is, and know it resolves.
