Our Review
Four HBO Max specials that gave the Land of Ooo the epilogues it deserved: BMO (the little robot’s solo space adventure, pure cartoon joy), Obsidian (Marceline and Bubblegum’s relationship, the show’s patient build romance finally centered, with a genuinely moving look at Marceline’s abandonment wounds), Wizard City (Peppermint Butler’s dark magic comeback…, the…, the…, a…, the…. …), and Together Again. Finn and Jake reunited beyond…, the…, the afterlife journey that closes the brothers’ story with the most beautiful hour the franchise ever produced. “That was a good adventure.” It was.
Verdict: Watch it. Together Again especially. Come along with me.
