Joss Whedon’s Victorian women with strange powers show, minus Whedon partway through, is a gorgeous mess: great cast, great premise, sumptuous production, and plotting that visibly lost its architect halfway through. Laura Donnelly and Ann Skelly are wonderful, and the second half of season one, under Philip Knauf, is better than the first.
Cancelled after the second season completed but never aired in full. Watch for the craft and the characters, and mourn what could have been.
