A slacker finds out his soul was sold to the devil before he was born, and now he has to work as Satan’s bounty hunter capturing escaped souls with a dirt devil and a vape shop break room. Bret Harrison’s everyman charm and Ray Wise’s delightful Lucifer carry the whole thing.
It never fully cashed its premise, and the second season wanders, but Ray Wise alone makes it worth the trip. A cult favorite for a reason.
