Our Review
A rural Georgia farm, a strange blue circle on the ground, and neighbors who stop being entirely themselves. Teacup takes the Invasion of the Body Snatchers idea, slows it to a crawl, and bolts it to a family drama about a marriage quietly falling apart.
It is produced by James Wan and it shows in the atmosphere more than the scares. The first episodes are a masterclass in dread: something is very wrong inside these people and the show makes you wait to find out what. Some viewers will find the slow burn too slow and the season ends on a note that demands more show than we got. Worth it for Yvonne Strahovski alone, who does more acting with silence than most casts manage with pages of dialogue.
