Every teenager’s fear made literal: six LA kids discover their parents are supervillains — the Pride, a cultish cabal running the city — and they run away, fight back, and grow up fast. The first season builds the discovery beautifully: the drifted-apart friendship reunion forced by the secret, the powers reveal (Nico’s staff, Karolina’s rainbow glow, the dinosaur — Old Lace, a genetically engineered dino who bonds with Gert), and the show’s best trick: making the villain-parents sympathetic and complicated.

Seasons 2-3 settle into a solid YA superhero run (the on-the-run arc, the Gibborim aliens, the kids learning to be a team), never escaping the shadow of its premise but always executing it with heart. Canceled after three seasons with a complete-enough arc. The gateway Marvel show for teens.

Verdict: Watch it — a solid teen superhero drama with the best “parents are the villains” hook on TV.
