A sequel that got weirder instead of safer. Miles graduates from student to canon insurgent, the Spider-Society turns the movie’s own multiverse logic into a bureaucracy, and Oscar Isaac’s Miguel O’Hara is the rare sequel villain whose argument against the hero is correct on the physics and wrong on everything else.
95% on Rotten Tomatoes, 8.5 on IMDb, and a visual range, the punk Spider-Punk’s collaged Britain, the Hobie Brown episodes, that makes each act a different art department. It ends in the middle of a sentence, a cliffhanger earning its 140 minutes, and the fandom spent the gap theorizing every frame of the trailer.
If the first one rebuilt the form, this one drives it off a cliff on purpose. Bring snacks, you will not get resolution. 9 out of 10.
