The most easygoing procedural on TV right now. A demoted detective and a con man doing community service get forced into a partnership, and their casework quickly becomes a con artist’s playbook applied to solving crimes. It is a CBC show that crossed over to the CW and quietly became exactly the kind of banter driven comfort watch people mainline by the season.
The chemistry does the heavy lifting: Vanessa Morgan and Giacomo Gianniotti riff like they have been partners for a decade, the cons are clever without being convoluted, and the show never pretends to be more than a good time. The family of grifters on the side adds a light serialized thread without turning into homework.
Two seasons in and running, with a third on the way. If you liked Castle or Bones, this is the modern heir to that slot.
Our take: 7.5/10. A charming, low-stakes charmer with great lead chemistry.
