A Catholic school dance-team initiation goes wrong, and a group of badly behaved girls starts having visions that set their whole town on edge. Riley Keough produces, Quinn Shephard directs, and the result is a fever dream about hysteria, guilt, and teenage girls as a force of nature.
It plays like The Craft by way of Picnic at Hanging Rock: is something supernatural happening, or is this what centuries of repression looks like when it finally speaks? The young cast is fearless, the imagery sticks with you (those red shoes), and the show trusts you to sit with ambiguity. Not a horror show in the jump-scare sense, closer to a slow-burn possession of an entire community. One season, one story, fully told.
