Episode Summary & Review

Summary

Picard is near death and Q makes him relive a tragedy from his Starfleet Academy days.

Our Take

A solid Q episode that leans more character drama than cosmic mischief, with Stewart and de Lancie clearly having fun together. The alternate-life premise is familiar stuff and the lesson lands a bit too neatly, but the bar fight redo and Picard’s reckoning with his younger self give it real weight. Worth watching even if it doesn’t break new ground.
