Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Data is zapped by a energy stream and has strange memories from during the time he was out. Worf hears a story that his father may not have died on Khitomer but may still be alive on a planet near the Romulan neutral zone.
Our Take
A quiet setup episode that splits its time between Data’s accidental dream and Worf’s search for his father, and honestly the Data half is the stronger one. Brent Spiner makes the most of his first taste of imagination. The Worf material drags a bit, but the ending lands well enough that you’ll want to see part two.
