A silly premise that mostly earns its runtime, with the genetically modified tribbles delivering genuine tension instead of just jokes. The Klingon scientist is a fun guest character, and the kids get some decent problem-solving moments. It’s a lighter hour that still moves the season forward, and it’s worth a watch even if the creature logic gets a bit hand-wavy near the end.
