Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Walt takes control of business matters as Mike grapples with the consequences of his actions.
Our Take
Mike’s exit: the lawyer flip, the names, the bag of money for his granddaughter that he’ll never deliver, and Walt, stealing Mike’s gun from the car, shooting him on a riverbank over a list of names and a wounded ego. “I just realized Lydia has the names”. Mike’s last words, dying, as Walt realizes the murder was unnecessary even by his own logic. The episode’s other half is the Declan meeting (“Say my name” / “You’re Heisenberg” / “You’re goddamn right”), the empire at its peak, ugliest hour.
