Shadow’s attempt to break away from Mr. Wednesday and the brewing war is thwarted by the secrets of the Gods, both Old and New.
Our Take
This one leans hard on atmosphere over momentum, and mostly gets away with it. The Lakeside scenes have a cozy menace that works better than the Wednesday scheming, which is starting to feel like the same con on a loop. A mid-season table-setter with a couple of strong visuals and a payoff that’s more tease than punch. Fine if you’re already invested.
