Summary
After months apart, Wednesday reappears in Shadow’s life, resolved to drag him back into his war effort. A meeting with the god Wisakedjak leaves Shadow with a prophecy about his destiny.
Our Take
A solid season opener that coasts on atmosphere more than momentum. Ian McShane clearly missed playing Wednesday and it shows in the best way, while the snowy Lakeside setting gives the show a fresh, moody look after the mess of season two. The prophecy stuff feels a bit familiar, but there’s enough here to suggest the show found its footing again. Worth checking back in.
