Our Review
Steven Spielberg’s Toontown, and the show that made Kids WB a thing. The Looney Tunes legacy characters run a school for younger animals, and the writers spent every episode sneaking adult jokes, film parodies and full musical numbers past the censors. Bugs, Daffy and the rest guest-star while the young toons hold their own next to legends.
The peaks are insane: the film noir episode, the anime parody, the episodes where the toons cross into the human world. It taught a generation how to watch animation by making you in on the joke, and half the Animaniacs crew trained in this building.
Ninety eight episodes, three seasons, and the second season is the gold standard. Our score: 8/10. Still holds up.
