Coração Acelerado

Coração Acelerado wants to be three things at once: a musical, a romantic comedy and a star vehicle for Isadora Cruz, who plays Agrado, a country girl chasing sertanejo stardom. For long stretches it pulls the trick off, powered by original songs and the pull between Cruz and Filipe Bragança as João Raul, the singer the whole country calls the Mozão do Brasil.

When the show sings, it soars. Isabelle Drummond, Letícia Spiller, Leandra Leal and Gabz dig into the supporting roles, and the musical numbers give the novela a rhythm you cannot fake. The problem is everything in between: the romantic complications cycle through the same three misunderstandings, and the later chapters repeat themselves badly.

A run that began in January 2026 wrapped that August after 177 chapters, and honestly it was a few dozen too many. The charm holds. The discipline does not.
