Dona de Mim is the kind of show that sneaks up on you. On paper it is a warm comedy drama about a young nanny and the lonely child she cares for in Rio de Janeiro. In practice it became one of 2025’s stronger runs: a story about affection, class and the many shapes motherhood can take, built around a genuine breakout from Clara Moneke.

Moneke plays the nanny with a light touch and a stubborn spine, and the bond between her and the child is the engine of the whole thing. Juan Paiva, Rafael Vitti and Humberto Morais lead the tangle of romances and family obligations around them, and the writing keeps finding honest angles on money and care instead of leaning on farce.

At 218 chapters it is long, and not every comic subplot earns its minutes. But the emotional core holds to the end, and the finale in January 2026 paid off the friendships rather than just the romances.
