Our Review
The first fully computer animated television series ever made, from Vancouver’s Mainframe Entertainment. Bob, Dot and Enzo live inside a computer system called Mainframe, defending it from the viruses Megabyte and Hexadecimal while games drop in from the User and threaten to crash everything they touch.
What started as a kids show about pixels got startlingly dark as it went: episode-length games with life or death stakes, characters aging seasons ahead of schedule, and a cancellation cliffhanger that fans are still mad about. The 1994 to 2001 run invented a visual language years before Pixar’s series work.
Our take: 8.2/10. The show that proved CG television could have a soul.
