Our Review

Jack of All Trades is Bruce Campbell doing what Bruce Campbell does best, this time in the Caribbean. He plays Jack Stiles, an American agent stationed on a French controlled island in 1801, running a secret identity as the masked hero the Daring Dragoon while scheming against Napoleon’s ambitions. It is basically a live action cartoon and it knows it.

Angela Dotchin matches him beat for beat as Emilia, the inventor who is smarter than everyone in the room and mostly okay with letting Jack take the punches. The banter is fast, the history is nonsense, and the whole thing runs on charm.

It came from the same RenPics shop as Hercules and Xena, half of the Sam Raimi universe of syndicated fun. One season is all it got, but the episodes that exist are a good time, especially if you have ever wanted to see Campbell fight Napoleon himself.
