A detective wrongly imprisoned for 12 years returns to the force with a settlement, a zen streak, and an appetite for justice, and nobody makes a show like this anymore. Damian Lewis is magnetic as Charlie Crews, drinking fruit smoothies and quoting self help at suspects while quietly hunting whoever framed him.
The conspiracy arc is solid, the partner chemistry with Sarah Shahi is great, and the quirky case of the week format actually works. Cancelled too soon, but the two seasons are complete enough to satisfy.
Our take: 8/10.
