The Sonic universe expands with a series about the echidna learning to relax in rural Montana while training a hapless deputy sheriff in the ways of the warrior. Idris Elba voicing Knuckles with total Shakespearean commitment is the joke, and it is a good one.
It is slight, it is for kids first, and the plot is thin, but Adam Pally keeps the human side charming. A pleasant snack between Sonic movies.
