Naruto: Shippuden
Our Review
The series that turned Naruto from a popular shonen into a generational one. Shippuden picks up two and a half years later: the kids are older, the stakes are real, and the story builds toward a war that engulfs every character the series ever introduced. The Pain arc is one of the greatest stretches in anime history, full stop, and the final Naruto and Sasuke confrontation pays off a decade of setup.
Now the honest part: 203 of the 500 episodes, about 41 percent, are filler. That is the highest filler load of any major shonen, and it is why so many people bounce off the show midway. Do not let it stop you. Our complete Shippuden filler list marks every skippable episode, and a handful of the filler arcs (Kakashi’s ANBU backstory especially) are genuinely worth keeping.
Watch the canon run and Shippuden earns a place in the top tier of shonen anime. Skip nothing and it is a slog. Our advice: use the list.
Our take: 9/10 for the story, with the filler list as your survival kit.
