Summary

As Walt and Jesse adjust to life out of the business, Hank grapples with a troubling lead.

Our Take

The trap: Hank, knowing, plays calm long enough to confirm; Walt, spooked, hides his money in the desert barrels; Jesse, broken and working with Hank, lures Walt to the burial site with a photo of the money. The confrontation — “You’re the smartest guy I ever met, and you’re too stupid to see he made up his mind ten minutes ago” — ends with Walt cuffed, Hank calling Marie to say he’s got him… and then the Nazis arrive. The hour ends mid-standoff, gunfire, and the sound of a series pivoting into its endgame. Best single hour of the half-season.
