Summary
Inhabitants of an advanced planet, who can no longer reproduce, plan to kidnap children from the Enterprise to rebuild their race.
Our Take
A decent midseason episode carried almost entirely by the kids, who are surprisingly watchable here, especially the little girl negotiating with her captors. The Aldeans are a bit too vague as villains to feel like a real threat, and the resolution comes easily. Still, it’s a solid hour with some genuine emotional weight between Wesley and Picard.
