Summary
A diplomat is requested to mediate a hostage situation and the leader of the world wants the same diplomat that negotiated more than 40 years before. The Admiral who did the negotiations in the past comes on board and starts acting more strangely as time passes.
Our Take
A middling hour built around a gimmick that never quite lands. Clayton Rohner gives it everything as the admiral rapidly de-aging through a botched youth drug, but the old-age makeup fights him the whole way, and the hostage negotiation it’s all built around is thin stuff. There’s a decent tragic idea here about regret and vanity, just wrapped in one of the season’s clunkier executions.
