On Velara III, Data and Geordi discover a microscopic creature responsible for the death of an engineer.
Our Take
A solid mid-season mystery that plays better than most first season outings. The slow-build investigation in the first half drags a bit, but things pick up once the “ugly bags of mostly water” reveal lands, and the ending actually treats both sides of the conflict with some fairness. Not essential viewing, but a reasonably smart hour if you’re working through the season.
