The best-looking and most serious Transformers series: Team Prime (Optimus, Ratchet, Arcee, Bulkhead, Bumblebee, and the human kids) defending Earth from Megatron’s resurgent Decepticons, treated with total dramatic gravity — the deaths stay dead, the stakes escalate across three seasons, and the voice cast is definitive: Peter Cullen as Optimus (the voice of the character, era-independent), Frank Welker returning as Megatron.
