Tales of the Jedi features parables built around Jedi from the prequel era. Journey into the lives of two distinctly different Jedi -- Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku. Each will be put to the test as they make choices that will define their destinies.

Our Review

Six shorts, two trajectories: Ahsoka (born, trained, walking away) and Count Dooku (idealistic Knight, increasingly sickened by the Republic’s rot, falling). Dave Filoni’s anthology is Star Wars mythology at its most painterly — each episode a silent-film-grade meditation on how the light and the dark actually claim people. Practice Makes Perfect (a training repetition becoming a life saved decades later) is the anthology’s quiet masterpiece.

The Dooku episodes are the revelation: we finally see the fall from the inside — a man who leaves the Jedi not for power but because he can no longer stomach what the Order serves. Liam Neeson returning as Qui-Gon (the famine episode the Senate ignores is the best political Star Wars since Andor) makes the prequels’ villain comprehensible, even sympathetic, without excusing him. Six episodes, 15 minutes each, zero filler.

Verdict: Watch it in one sitting. The Force is what you make of it.
