An alien crashes in Colorado, kills the town doctor, takes his form, and plans humanity’s extinction, except he slowly becomes fond of the humans he is meant to destroy. Alan Tudyk does the finest physical comedy of his career as a being learning to wear a face, and the show balances sci fi mystery with small town comedy beautifully.
The murderer subplot and the alien hunters give it real stakes. Weird, warm, and unlike anything else.
