Four Indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma steal, scheme, and dream their way toward California, honoring a friend they lost. Every episode plays like a short film, funny one minute, quietly devastating the next.

This is one of the best shows of its decade, full stop. Created by Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi, shot through with deadpan humor and a sense of place most TV never earns. The supporting cast of local non-actors steals whole episodes, and the show treats its supernatural touches (a spirit guide named William Knifeman, a deer in the road) with total matter-of-fact confidence. Three perfect seasons, and it ends exactly when it should. Watch it.
