Summary
It is 1991, and the Red Guardian takes it upon himself to join a high profile mission and prove himself to his Red Room superiors. When his antics interfere with the Winter Soldier’s own mission to kill Howard Stark, the two Soviet supersoldiers must form an alliance to escape the United States.
Our Take
A fun buddy-road-trip detour that leans hard on comedy, and mostly gets away with it thanks to David Harbour’s charm and a genuinely funny 90s setting. The action beats get repetitive and the plot runs out of steam before the finale, but the odd-couple banter carries it. Worth a watch if you want something light.
