Summary
Growing weary of Hela’s bloodlust, Odin opts to teach his daughter a lesson by stripping her of her powers and banishing her to Earth. But when she lands in ancient China, the seductive lure of the Ten Rings threatens to reawaken the Goddess of Death’s villainous appetite.
Our Take
A fun premise that plays like a buddy movie, with Hela and Shang-Chi’s Wenwu getting more chemistry than you’d expect. The animation shines during the fight scenes, though the middle stretch drags while it sets up the emotional turns. Not a standout, but a breezy, watchable half hour with a satisfying payoff.
