Our Take
A middling entry built around one joke: Gears stops being cranky, and everyone finds it unsettling. The solar needle plot is thin even by this show’s standards, and the Decepticons feel like they’re going through the motions. Still, the personality swap gets a few genuine laughs and Gears finally gets his moment. Watchable, but only for completists.
