Summary
Elita-1, leader of a group of female Autobots causing trouble for the Decepticons, is captured and used as bait to lure Optimus Prime into a deadly trap. However, Elita-1’s strange time manipulation technique saves him, but leaves her close to death. Her only chance for survival lies in Alpha Trion.
Our Take
A rare episode that puts Elita-1 and the female Autobots front and center, and honestly the romantic history between her and Optimus carries more weight than you’d expect from a toy commercial. The time-freeze power is a fun idea even if the stakes get resolved a bit too conveniently. Pacing drags in the middle, but it’s one of the more character-driven hours of season 2. Worth a watch.
