Summary
As Samantha makes strides toward the future, her past catches up. With help from Emi, Tin-Tin, and Trendy, Jake has a breakthrough in connecting the cases – and comes face to face with the head of Chihari-Kai, who requires a favor.
Our Take
A tense hour that finally starts pulling the season’s threads together, with Jake’s meeting with the Chihari-Kai boss delivering the standout scene. Samantha’s storyline gets some real weight now that her history is in play, and the show’s moody Tokyo atmosphere keeps doing a lot of heavy lifting. Slower in spots, but the momentum is building. Worth your time.
