Episode Summary & Review
Summary
Gus’s quest to find Birdie and uncover more about her connection to his father leaves him questioning everything he’s ever known.
Our Take
A quiet, mostly flashback-driven hour that finally fills in the backstory, and it lands better than most origin episodes do. The chemistry between the two leads carries the whole thing, though the present-day scenes with Gus feel like marking time. If you’ve been waiting for answers, this delivers enough of them to be worth the slower pace.
