Steven gets a surprise visit from some old friends, and an even more surprising introduction to some new ones.
Our Take
A quietly brilliant half hour that mines comedy and discomfort in equal measure. Watching Steven squirm through a family reunion he never asked for is both funny and genuinely sad, and the show never cheapens his complicated feelings about his mom for a punchline. The designs on the new characters are a treat too. Worth your time, easily one of the season’s best so far.
