Summary

Captain Janeway reluctantly tries to form an alliance with the Kazons and their longtime enemies in order to strengthen Voyager’s position in the quadrant.

Our Take

A talky but solid hour that finally addresses the Kazon problem with some actual strategy instead of phasers. The diplomatic wrangling feels believable, and Janeway’s discomfort with compromising her principles gives the episode real weight. The ending undercuts things a bit, but the debate itself is engaging. Worth a watch if you’ve wondered why Voyager keeps getting chased around the quadrant.
