Summary
The Enterprise experiences a rapid energy drain that leaves the crew vulnerable to radiation exposure while exploring in a area of space where a alien race once lived.
Our Take
A solid engineering puzzle episode that leans on technobabble more than drama, but it mostly works. Picard and Riker fade into the background while Geordi and a holographic version of Dr. Brahms carry the hour, and their scenes have real charm even if the romance angle gets a bit awkward. The solution feels clever the first time. Worth a watch, just not essential.
