Episode Summary & Review
Summary
When a mentor from Dal’s past persuades him to use their Federation cover for personal gain, they quickly discover Starfleet has protocols for a reason.
Our Take
A middling episode that leans on Dal making the same selfish mistake we’ve already seen from him, which makes the lesson feel repetitive rather than earned. Still, the con-artist mentor is a fun foil, and the ending delivers a genuinely clever bit of problem-solving that rewards paying attention. Worth watching, but not essential.
