Summary

Tallinn ventures inside Picard’s subconscious mind to help wake him from a coma and face both his darkest secrets and deepest fears. Seven and Raffi go in search of Jurati whom they fear has succumbed to the monster inside. Rios struggles to hide the truth of who he really is from Teresa.

Our Take

A slower, more interior hour that spends most of its runtime inside Picard’s head, and it mostly works thanks to some striking imagery and a genuinely uncomfortable look at his childhood. The therapy-speak framing gets a bit heavy-handed in spots, and the Rios subplot feels like filler. Worth watching for the character work, just don’t expect the season’s plot to move much.
