Summary

While surveying nearby star systems for M-Class planets, Sisko and O’Brien find themselves stranded on a previously unknown colony world where the colonists have adapted to life without advanced technology.

Our Take

A middling episode that leans on a premise we’ve seen done better elsewhere, with a colony leader whose zealotry is obvious from her first scene. Sisko and O’Brien make a solid pairing, and there’s some genuine tension in how the community enforces its rules, but the pacing drags badly in the middle. Watchable, though you won’t miss much skipping it.
