Summary
A Bajoran terrorist tests Major Kira’s loyalties to the Federation when he attempts to rid Bajor of the Federation for good.
Our Take
This one leans hard on Bajoran politics, which is a good sign for the show’s future, but the execution is pretty stiff. Kira gets a real dilemma and Nana Visitor sells it well, even if the guest characters talk in speeches. The Garak/Bashir scenes are the highlight and hint at better things ahead. Decent setup hour, just not thrilling on its own.
