Summary
A fugitive from the Gamma Quadrant attempts to trade evidence about Odo’s people for freedom.
Our Take
A solid midseason episode that finally gives Odo some real backstory to chew on. Rene Auberjonois plays the guarded loneliness well, and the Miradorn subplot moves things along without getting in the way. The CGI rock creature looks rough even by 1993 standards, and the ending wraps up a bit too neatly. Still, it’s one of the stronger season one hours and worth a watch for Odo fans.
