Summary
Morty falls head over-heels in love with an ecological superhero, leaving Summer to join Rick on a bender of interplanetary apocalyptic hedonism.
Our Take
A solid split-episode that works better in its halves than as a whole. The Morty romance lands some genuinely sharp jabs at Captain Planet-style do-gooder clichés, while Rick and Summer’s apocalypse-hopping debauchery is fun but wears thin by the third planet. The ending gets surprisingly bleak in a way the show has earned. Worth your time, even if it doesn’t stick with you.
