The frozen tundra stretch gives this episode a slow-burn tension that the show handles well, even if the survival stuff leans on familiar beats. Kentaro’s flashbacks finally give him some depth, and the 1950s timeline keeps quietly outshining the present day. A quieter hour that mostly earns its pacing.
