Summary
After Cornell’s death, Mariah covers up her involvement with Shades’ help and sets up Luke as the patsy. Meanwhile, Luke finds out Diamondback’s true identity.
Our Take
A decent hour that mostly runs in place while the fallout from last week settles in. Alfre Woodard does strong work selling Mariah’s panic and pivot, but the cover-up scenes feel drawn out, and Luke’s detective work is more tedious than tense. The Diamondback reveal lands okay, though it arrives with less punch than the show clearly thinks it deserves. Fine, not essential.
