This is a strange, dreamlike hour that mostly plays as an extended grief fantasy, and your patience for it will depend on how much Legion weirdness you can stomach. The visuals are gorgeous as always, and Dan Stevens sells the sadness, but the plot barely inches forward and the whole thing feels like a very pretty holding pattern. Fine if you’re invested, skippable if you’re not.
