Episode Summary & Review

Summary

When his dad misunderstands a contact attempt from the Guardians, John is put forth as the next best option to fulfill the Green Lantern destiny. Then, after a lifetime of preparation, John finally gets his chance to interview for the Guardians.

Our Take

This episode leans harder into the family drama than the space cop stuff, and it mostly works because the cast sells the tension between duty and personal history. The interview scenes carry real weight, though the middle stretch drags a bit when it reiterates points we already got. A solid, character-focused hour that earns its runtime without doing anything flashy.
